Giving Back to Our Community
Giving back is part of what we do year-round. Through fundraisers and community initiatives, the George Street Association and its members are proud to support local charities and organizations making a difference in Newfoundland and Labrador.
50/50 Fundraisers
Throughout the year, we host 50/50 fundraisers on George Street in support of local causes. Last December, our 50/50 raised $5,000 for the Single Parent Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (SPANL), helping support single-parent families across the province.
Follow us on social media for upcoming fundraiser announcements, and keep an eye out for GSA staff selling 50/50 tickets on George Street. Every ticket purchased helps us give back to our community.
2026 50/50 Winners & Recipients
Billy Guiboche — $1,845 Winner
Congratulations to Billy Guiboche, who took home $1,845 through George Street Gives Back!
An additional $1,845 was directed back into our community, with the Jacob Puddister Memorial Foundation selected to receive the proceeds.
The Jacob Puddister Memorial Foundation provides accessible mental health services and support to individuals and families throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
Mike Coulthurst — $3,585 Winner
Congratulations to Mike Coulthurst, who took home $3,585 through George Street Gives Back!
An additional $3,585 was directed back into our community, with Easter Seals NL selected to receive the proceeds.
Easter Seals NL provides programs and services that help empower persons with disabilities to live, learn, work and play as active members of their communities.
