MARDI GRAS: 2021 EDITION

This year, Mardi Gras will look a little different, but we hope you still look as spooky and spectacular as ever when you join us on George Street— with some different safety measures in place. We are prioritizing the health and safety of our patrons and staff, so we will not have our traditional on-street event and street-wide costume contest like previous years.

Here’s what will happen:

  • You’ll bedazzle and decorate a mask (that covers your mouth and nose) to match your stellar costume;
  • You’ll enter George Street through a gate and be given FREE admission and an arm band/stamp;
  • You’ll pick your favourite place to party, wear your mask, and show your NLVaxPass to enter! Easy!

Each club, bar, and pub on George Street will be pouring
drink specials from Labatt and Corby Spirits & Wines and will have their own entertainment planned for the weekend, so check in with your favourite haunt to see what they have in store! (Psst! Some venues may still charge cover!)

Our members are encouraged to have their own in-house activities this year, and we’ll have our own virtual costume contest on our social media channels instead! Enter the contest by visiting us over on Facebook to submit a photo of one of your favourite Halloween costumes over the years!

NOTE: In accordance with public safety measures, masks must be worn indoors and proof of full vaccination is required to enter bars, lounges, and restaurants. Masks covering the mouth and nose are to be worn indoors, but masks concealing your identity are not permitted. Masks need to be easily removed to check your ID. Costume pieces resembling weapons are not permitted.

We are so stoked to have you join us on George Street this Halloween for a fresh and socially safe Mardi Gras experience! Happy Haunting, ghoulfriends!
