ALCOCK & BROWN OPEN-AIR CONCERT

The George Street Association is proud to present the Alcock & Brown Centennial Open-Air Concert, on the George Street main stage, Thursday Jun 13, 2019.

This special event commemorates the 100th anniversary of British aviators John Alcock and Arthur Brown making the first non-stop transatlantic flight in June 1919, flying a modified First World War Vickers Vimy bomber from St. John's, Newfoundland to Clifden, Connemara, County Galway, Ireland.

Featuring a live performance from The Bishops, with emcee Pete Soucy, plus a monologue performance portraying Alcock & Brown's stay in St. John's by Ben Pittman, and "Tales of Flight" by Gary Hebbard and Dave Paddon.

Thursday, Jun 13, 7-9pm. Admission is free! This is an all-ages event.
